Born and raised in Chad, Medard came to the US as an asylum seeker in 2006 and began working among other refugees being assimilated into the country. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Human Geography from the University of Ngaoundere in Cameroon and a Certificate in High Performance Leadership from Cornell University.
Medard oversees the initial reception and placement of refugees arriving to the Seattle area, supports a team of caseworkers, and addresses refugees’ and immigrants’ needs in the community.
