A Day in the Life of a Refugee, World Economic Forum

“I think it is very important for us to bring the simulation to Davos, for participants to spend even 45 minutes in our shoes, because people like us often feel the world forgets us. They make policy and other decisions at their level, not ours. They don’t know what life is like on the ground.’

David Livingston Okello. Former child soldier/IDP

In past years, we have brought this programme to the World Economic Forum, and some of you have kindly asked whether we will be doing so again in January 2020. This year, however, the Forum’s focus is on a different theme for which the refugee simulation is not a direct ‘fit’. So we won’t be attending this time around.

We will be sorry to miss you all, as we greatly value the friendships and partnerships established in Davos. Of course, if ever you would like to discuss concerns about refugees and other displaced people with us directly, we would be delighted to hear from you. You are welcome to email us.
