David was abducted, as a child soldier, by the brutal Lord’s Resistance Army in Northern Uganda. When he ultimately escaped, he re-started life elsewhere, in safety. Before long, however, he returned to the war zone to serve in the camps for Internally Displaced Persons and to help children at risk. After the war, he remained to help rebuild this devastated area: one with less than 1% formal employment. David supports educational, medical and rural needs.
